1. What do you like about blogging?

I like blogging because I can tell my reader what I have learned in the class and what I think about the input given by the lecturer.

2. What you do not like about blogging?

I do not like blogging when waiting for the picture to be uploaded into our blog. It needed many time to be completed. Moreover, I often encountered the problem where my entries are not saved. It make me to do it twice.

3. What have you gained from blogging e.g. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc. How?

I think from blogging I improving my technology skills .In order to make our blog attractive, many things should be learned. I discovered how to make it on my own .It is kind of satisfaction for me especially when putting the widget that we interest.

4. What do you like about this course?

I think many resources for making teaching aids I know. Moreover, I can prepare the teaching aids with the software that introduced to us.

5. What you do not like about this course?

Maybe the modules given are too much.

6. What have you learnt from this course?

Many things especially how to develop the teaching aids that attract and make the pupils understand the topic taught better.

7.What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

Many things especially the software that helps the teachers to develop their teaching aids.

I even did not know that the softwares are exist.

It is teach us about the basic skills in using the internet.

Many software needed to be downloaded and it took many time to do so.

I learn basic internet skills and some new computing skills.

Many new software introduced to edit the pictures.

I practice how to edit the pictures with the software that I comfortable with.

I learned to edit the pictures using various software and websites.

It explored about music and its usage in teaching.

I practiced more on editing the audios using the software that easy to handle.

Many things regarding editing video I know.

I given opportunity to edit the video and produce the new video that appropriate with my pupils’ level.

Editing the video so that it is appropriate for teaching aids, converting the video into another teaching aids.

No need to download many software. Moreover, I found out many usages of MS Publisher in order to develop teaching aids.

Nothing.

Developing teaching aids that appropriate with the lesson as well as the topic taught using MS Publisher.

4. d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?

The skill of using MS Publisher for preparing teaching aids.

It helps me to use the tools that provided in my laptop in order to prepare attractive nad interesting teaching aids.

week 14

Hi, everyone. This is the last week for this sem .It means that this is the last lesson of Using and Developing Resources for the ESL Classroom. Many new things I have learned throughout this course. I learned the basic skills in using internet until the skills to sue MS Publisher to prepare and develop teaching aids for ELT Classroom.

Let’s get back to the lesson of this week. It was not a lesson actually, it mainly about giving feedback of our task for module 4, video editing. Puan Foziah gave her feedback of tour edited videos and she also asked the other peers to comment on our videos. I realize that preparing video needed many considerations especially how the message conveyed to the audiences (pupils).

Overall, I think majority of the pair have tried their best to produce a good video. However, I’m amazed with the video created by Faiz and Atikah. The message about the cancer disease was clearly conveyed by them through the video clip. As for my video is about 1 MALAYSIA. My pair and I decided to emphasize on the unity among Malaysian in order to preserve our independence.

13th week

Hi!guys. Welcome to my 13th entry for this course.

On this week, we had submitted our tasks for Module 2 which are E-Book and lesson plans. It was a relief to submit the tasks. I think by completing the tasks in this module helped me to realize that our pupils need teaching aids that can attract their attentions. The teacher also needed to consider many things to prepare the teaching aids especially related to pictures.

Instead of that, we are still in the process of completing Module 4 which is Video Editing. This module is more challenging as it involves many complicated steps to produce the good video. Hm…challenging or not I still need to finish it.So, fight!!!!

12th week

Hello everyone.

This is my 12th week entry for the resources course. Today, our lecturer, Pn. Foziah had introduced E-Book to us. It was my first time to know what E-Book is. She showed some examples of E-books to us. My first impression was E-book something that can capture students’ attention to the topic that they will learn. Moreover, the pictures and audio used were attracted the visual and auditory senses of the pupils.It was also look easy to develop since we only use Power Point to prepare the E-book.I was EAGER to do the task about E-BOOK later on.

However, our lecturer had provided some guidelines or characteristics that we need to consider while preparing our E-BOOK. The E-Book should:

· Simple

· The font must big for the pupils to see.

· The pictures also must be clear and colourful.

· The sound also must be clear for the pupils to hear.

Instead of that, our lecturer also gave another addition tutorials for module 2.WOW!The tutorials were more of using Photoshop CS3.Before the class end, Pn Foziah also showed some examples of video editing done by her friends.She also talked about the software that can be useful for video editing.Mm….it is getting tougher for the next module.
